Launch of Wait3r Prototype
Hey everyone!
I'm CrunchyBuncher, and today marks the day I've uploaded a prototype for a new game I'm working on. It's called Wait3r, and it's a platforming table-waiting game! If you've ever wanted to serve tables while jumping on them, and trying to parkour all over the restaurant avoiding obstacles and keeping track of who-ordered-what, this might be the game for you.
Since this is a prototype, everything is either free to use art or art I've made myself. It gets the idea across! It should give everyone something fun to play, and if anyone would like to provide feedback that would be amazing. It would really be helping my development.
Here are the current features in no particular order:
1. Playable character that can interact with things and pick up, put down and deposit food. If you're on the ground, you're much slower - so stick to jumping on tables. On the floor, you also jump higher so you can get right back into the action.
2. A restaurant full of customers that randomly generate, ensuring that each time you play, you will need to navigate a slightly different path to reach different customers.
3. 10 levels, 6 of them include unique twists that change how you play the game.
4. Level records that keep track of time and current score. You can see all your records on a leaderboard.
5. Customers that wait to be served, order food, and say lines. Each customer will get impatient if they wait too long, which means missed points!
6. A single quality option to improve performance or appearance. In the pause menu -> Options.
7. A main menu!
8. A green pad at the "kitchen" that shows all active customer orders. Useful for planning your next delivery run.
